Top issues during term (13)(Roads)
Church Lane Speeding in Aquebogue
Additional parking on Heidi Behr Way
Striping the new spaces would cost about $4,725 under an existing county contract.
Horton Avenue/Reeves Avenue Intersection Safety
Stop Sign Codification at Northville Turnpike/Doctor's Path
Riverhead LIRR Train Station Disrepair
Bus Shelters and Railroad Station Amenities
Brookhaven funds its shelters partly through advertising, a model the resident suggested Riverhead explore.
Downtown parking enforcement and handheld ticketing
Parking meters alone can run $12,000–$15,000 apiece, and the new system could speed ticket revenue into town coffers — but the full cost depends on which vendor wins the RFP.
Downtown Parking Time Limits
The parking garage is unfunded; the town is pursuing bond financing and grants, and the developer would pay per-space fees for roughly 100 reserved spaces.
Route 25A Traffic Safety at Innov8 Fitness Driveway
Speed Limit Changes on Northville Turnpike
Smugglers Path beach parking restrictions
Traffic signal safety improvements
Highway Department Salt Budget Transfer
Uses budget transfer funds — no new taxes, but draws down highway reserves.
