Roanoke Avenue Business PB Zoning Amendment

Opposed the zoning change, citing the residential character of Roanoke Avenue, parking shortages, and noise from 5 a.m.–10 p.m. operations next to homes.

Echoed opposition, warning about precedent-setting, loss of single-family housing stock, and changing the character of Roanoke Avenue for one applicant.

Questioned the 5 a.m.–10 p.m. allowed hours for businesses next to homes, saying children's sleep needs make the hours onerous.

Calverton Civic Association president said the amendment appeared suddenly, wasn't in the comp plan, and seems designed for one property owner.
